Deerwood Lodge

Property Info
Deerwood Lodge is a beautiful hunting lodge, lovingly renovated into a stunning 3,400 sq foot, five bedroom family house. Set in 70 acres of lush woodland teaming with wildlife and birds, and two large decks over-looking a private crystal-clear lake, it is just two hours from the George Washington Bridge.
We have spent many years and a lot of time and love turning Deerwood Lodge into the luxury retreat it is today, exceptionally private but within easy drive of the nearby town of Callicoon-on-the-Delaware
Our home is gorgeous all year round with plenty of activities for families and nature lovers, both in the grounds or nearby.

Children (and dogs)
With its open plan space and endless opportunities for outdoor exploring, Deerwood Lodge is perfect for families of all sizes. It is well kitted out for children, and we offer the use of a Babyletto wooden crib in the downstairs double room, high chair, baby brezza bottle cleaning machine and bottle warmer. We have child-proofed many of the kitchen cupboards, covered all the plug sockets and have stair gates for both staircases.

Well behaved dogs are also welcome, and we provide a dog crate.

Local area
Deerwood Lodge is located just outside the small hamlet of Hortonville, with the town of Callicoon just three miles away. Beautifully situated right on the banks of the Delaware River, Callicoon is one of the prettiest towns in the Catskills and boasts a well-stocked supermarket, a number of excellent restaurants and pubs, Sunday farmers market, 1940’s full screen movie theatre, as well as numerous art galleries and flea markets.
Roscoe is 15 miles away, and is known as ‘Trout Town USA". It is considered the birth place of dry fly fishing in the United States, and is located on the banks of the Beaverkill and Willowemoc Creeks. The town also has a wonderful brewery and distillery.

Other local towns worth visiting are Narrowsburg, Livingston Manor and Jeffersonville. The area has a huge range of wonderful restaurants and microbreweries, hiking and other outdoor pursuits. You can also buy day passes at the nearby Villa Roma resort, which offers swimming, gym and a range of other activities.
